New Post

Hey everybody!

Welcome back to another newsletter discussing the topics of real estate and financial freedom.

This week, I will be summarizing 3 real estate books that I think everybody should read or at least know about.

The books I am referring to are:

-Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

-The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and low) Money Down by Brandon Turner

-Financial Freedom with Real Estate Investing by Michael Blank

We can learn many things from reading books and gaining inspiration.

However, once we read a book, it is important to apply its lessons to the real world.

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

This book is probably the most famous book when it comes to mindset and how to make money.

In the book, the author describes having two fathers in his life.

His real dad encouraged school/education and finding a job at a company. He believed that having a high income was the only path to success.

His friend’s dad encouraged making money from owning assets. He said that the real way to build wealth was by acquiring and owning assets. This also came with better tax advantages than active income.

By owning assets that pay you monthly, you are making money while you sleep instead of trading time for money.

Most real estate investors credit this book for getting their start in the business and for opening their eyes on why owning real estate is one of the best ways to create the life you desire.

The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and low) Money Down by Brandon Turner

This book is great for people just starting out in investing. The author does a great job of explaining the different ways to finance real estate deals.

Instead of thinking you need to put 20-25% down on an investment property, he shows how to:

-Use Hard Money

-Do Seller Financing

-Partner with others

These are all creative ways to finance real estate deals and keep you from sitting on the sidelines.

Brandon Turner is the former host of the BiggerPockets podcast and is actually the main person that got me interested in real estate in the first place.

Financial Freedom with Real Estate Investing by Michael Blank

Lastly, I enjoyed this book by Michael Blank.

Michael is an active investor who buys apartments while working with passive investors.

In the book, he preaches how people can overcome their limiting beliefs and move into apartments quicker than they think.

It all comes down to finding a great deal and then finding investors who can help fund the down payment and any capital expenditures.

Multifamily and apartment investing is seen as popular due to economies of scale and is usually more achievable than people realize.

It is important to note there are a lot of rules and regulations in place that you must follow when it comes to raising money for apartments.

There you have it.

These are 3 books that have really opened my eyes to the opportunities in real estate and are helpful for anybody just getting started.

This newsletter was meant to give you a brief overview of the books and what was discussed.

If you you would like to learn more, I would definitely recommend purchasing them.

For $20-$30, you can really gain a lot of valuable information.

That’s all I have for today’s newsletter.

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you all again next week!
